Terminology: Disaster and Emergency

Using a military analogy that involves breaking the problem into four areas (Introduction and Rationale) :

• Planning,
• Training,
• Command & Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I), and
• Logistics.

Advice, caveats,...:

• If procedures and equipment are not routinely exercised, they have a high risk of failure during a disaster or emergency.
