• Don't prematurely open refrigerators and freezers -- preserve cold storage
• Multi-family kitchens - Collaborate with neighbors to make better use of resource
  • Use perishable food first
  • Phased opening of refrigerators - Share each family's refrigerator contents in turn
  • Psychological: more like a party than a disaster, also reduce sense of isolation
