Diana Diamond - spin against Neighborhood Associations

Ms. Diamond has a long history of hostility to neighborhood associations. Although few, if any, neighborhood associations took a stand on 800 High, the above statement invites the reader to believe otherwise. This is another standard "spin" tactic - use a vague description ("group") qualified by "some" to create an irrefutable statement that imputes a characterization that would not stand up to scrutiny. Ms. Diamond could equally well have used "Some groups of joggers opposed this housing, ..." or "Some people who drive BMWs ..."
