195 Page Mill Proposal: Opposition:
Doug Moran: Speaker Notes
- Doug Moran, 790 Matadero Avenue
- I oppose this application
- Abusive proposal
- Despite large number of variances and exceptions to normal
zoning rules,
applicant chose to bypass the preliminary hearing.
- Traffic and Parking Analysis was not ready for review
at Planning and Transportation Commission hearing
- Dropped on Commissioners' doorsteps AFTER the hearing
packets had been distributed.
- Has repeated this TRICK for this hearing,
delivering additional documents to your doorsteps
yesterday.
- The Commission dismissed the proffered public benefits
as double-dipping and of inconsequential value.
- I support the streamlining process
and the concepts behind it.
- This application makes a major mockery of its basic principles
- All stakeholders get information about the proposal
early in the process so that
- questions can be answered and implications understood
- problems identified and fixed
- Bring good proposals to the Commission and Council
to avoid seemingly endless cycles thru the system
- To gain and maintain acceptance of Streamlining,
you have to respond to those who attempt to subvert the system.
- Can't send abusers away with equivalent of
Nice try. Better luck next time
- You need to consider sanctions for flagrant abusers
or you will invite people to clog the system,
wasting the time of staff, Commissioners, Council members
and the public.
- This is an abusive proposal that needs to be forcefully rejected.
